Fox Home Entertainment has announced final specs for 'Vanishing Point,' which will come to Blu-ray with hours of all-new bonus features and exclusives.
As announced earlier this month, Fox will debut the 1971 cult classic on February 24 in a first-ever special edition version.
Just-confirmed tech specs will see both the US theatrical and UK extended versions (with 10 minutes of additional footage) presented on the same BD-50 dual-layer disc via seamless branching, in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and an English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
Fresh extras include audio commentary by director Richard Sarafian, a pair of featurettes ("Built for Speed: A Look Back at Vanishing Point," "OA-5599”), the Interactive 1970 Dodge Challenger map, and TV spots.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the "Cars, Cops and Culture" trivia track, an interactive trivia challenge, and the "Super Soul Me" picture-in-picture track (Bonus View) that includes interviews with many of the original artists who recorded the film's seminal rock soundtrack.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.99.
