'ParaNorman' Announced for Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D

The family-friendly animated adventure will haunt both Blu-ray formats at the end of November.

In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios will be bringing 'ParaNorman' to high-definition in a Blu-ray/DVD/Ultraviolet Copy combo on November 27.

'ParaNorman - 3D' (2D and DVD included) will also be available on the same date.

The makers of 'Coraline' sculpt the story of Norman, a boy who must use his gift of seeing and speaking with the dead to save his town from a centuries-old curse about to come true. Caught in a wild race against time, the young ghoul whisperer will find his paranormal abilities pushed to their otherworldly limits as he bravely summons up all that makes a hero – courage and compassion.

Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements will include: Preliminary AnimaticC Sequences: With commentary from Director Sam Fell and Writer/Director Chris Butler; Peering Through the Veil: A special behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creation of the weird and wonderful world of ParaNorman from building the characters to voicing them; Featurettes: Seven short segments showcasing Norman and his extraordinarily unusual costars; Feature Commentary: With Director Sam Fell and Writer/Director Chris Butler; and BD-Live: Access the BD-Live™ Center through your Internet-connected player to watch the latest trailers and more!

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $34.98 and $49.98 for the Blu-ray 3D.
