The Best Picture winner at the 1974 Academy Awards is coming to Blu-ray in two versions this summer.
In an early announcement to retailers, Universal has set 'The Sting' for a high-definition release on June 5.
A Collector's Edition Blu-ray/DVD Digibook will also be available on the same date.
Winner of 7 Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, The Sting stars Paul Newman and Robert Redford as two con men in 1930s Chicago. No one is to be trusted as the twists unfold, leading up to the greatest double-crosses in movie history. The con is on!
The Blu-ray will feature a digitally restored 1080p presentation from high resolution 35mm film elements, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Three-part The Art of the Sting documentary; Three 100 Years of Universal featurettes (The Lot, The '70s, and Restoring the Classics); and theatrical trailer.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $19.98 and the Collector's Edition is $39.98.
