Sony Announces Two New Day & Date Blu-Ray Titles

Delivering on their promises to support the Blu-Ray format with day-and-date releases, Sony today announced to retailers it will deliver both 'Basic Instinct 2' and 'The Benchwarmers' simultaneously with the standard DVD versions.

The Sharon Stone bomb 'Basic Instinct 2' is set to debut on July 11; it will be followed two weeks later on July 25 by the $55 million-grossing comedy 'The Benchwarmers.'

Sony is expected to officially announce full details on each disc later this week, including technical specs, bonus features and retail price.
