Roland Emmerich's take on Shakespeare is bound for Blu-ray this February.
In an early announcement to retailers, Sony says 'Anonymous' will have a Blu-ray release on February 7.
Set in the political snake-pit of Elizabethan England, "Anonymous" speculates on an issue that has for centuries intrigued academics and brilliant minds such as Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, and Sigmund Freud, namely: who actually created the body of work credited to William Shakespeare? Experts have debated, books have been written, and scholars have devoted their lives to protecting or debunking theories...
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Commentary with Roland Emmerich and writer John Orloff, More Than Special Effects, Speak The Speech, and Who Is The Real William Shakespeare?
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $35.99.
