The hunt for the 'Zodiac' killer is coming to high-def, with Paramount
Home Entertainment announcing a summer Blu-ray and HD DVD release for
the David Fincher thriller.
Despite widespread critical acclaim, Fincher's meticulous serial killer docudrama
failed to make much of a dent at the box office this past winter. However, all of the director's other efforts (including 'Se7en,' 'The
Game' and 'Fight Club') have enjoyed a healthy afterlife on video, which would seem to bode well for 'Zodiac.'
Paramount plans to street the flick on both next-gen formats July
24, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD at a suggested list price of $39.95 for each. The studio has not yet revealed specs or supplement details for 'Zodiac,' but
we'll keep you posted as further details are announced.
