Eagle Rock Unveils First Triple-Format Music Release

Tags: Disc Announcements, Music, Eagle Vision (all tags) Beating Paramount's 'Mission: Impossible III' to the punch, Eagle Rock Entertainment will orchestrate the industry's first "trifecta" cross-format release this Fall.

When the 2005 concert film 'The Pat Metheny Group: The Way Up' hits stores on October 3, it will bow simultaneously on Blu-ray, HD DVD and DVD -- a good four weeks before Paramount mounts a similar multi-format bow for 'Mission: Impossible III.'

Hitting Blu-ray on March 20th!

Though technical details for the HD DVD and Blu-ray editions of 'The Way Up' are not yet available, extras will be identical on both versions including a making-of featurette and artist biographies.

Retail for both the Blu-ray and HD DVD will be $24.98 each.
