The fantastical superhero family film will hit Blu-ray in November.
In an early announcement to retailers, Lionsgate is working on 'The Adventures of Sharkboy and LavaGirl' for Blu-ray on November 8.
Directed by the imaginative Robert Rodriguez (the 'Spy Kids' franchise), the film also features a star-studded cast of Hollywood favorites including David Arquette (the 'Scream' franchise), Kristin Davis ('Sex and the City') and George Lopez ('Rio'). The movie helped launch the career of Taylor Lautner ('The Twilight Saga'), and both of the movie's leads earned "Best Performance in a Feature Film" nominations for the 2006 Young Artist Awards.
The Blu-ray features 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and also includes a "making of" featurette and audio commentary by Rodriguez.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $14.99.
