As promised last week, Fox Home Entertainment has formally announced it will bring the hit summer sequel 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer' to Blu-ray this October.
Grossing nearly $300 million at the worldwide box office, Fox will debut 'Rise of the Silver Surfer' on Blu-ray October 2, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD version.
'Silver Surfer' will enjoy the BD-50 dual-layer treatment, complete with a 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 transfer and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
Extras include a full-length documentary, additional making-of featurettes, deleted scenes and the theatrical trailer.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray are two BD-Java interactive games: "Who Dares Defy Galactus?" and the "Saving The World One Question At A Time" trivia challenge.
List price is $39.98.
'Rise of the Silver Surfer' follows the original 'Fantastic Four,' which Fox released on Blu-ray late last year.
You'll find disc details for 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's listed under October 2. Stay tuned for box art to be revealed in the coming days.
