Top Sales and Rentals: Week Ending April 22nd, 2012
Fri Apr 27, 2012 at 12:00 PM ETTags: Blu-ray Sales Figures (all tags)
'Mission: Impossible' tops the charts in every category.
Well dang 'Mission: Impossible,' way to dominate! The Brad Bird direction action blockbuster tops the charts in every category, and by a significant amount. The next highest seller was 'War Horse,' with just 15% of the sales of 'Mission: Impossible.'
The success of 'Mission: Impossible' translated to a success for Blu-ray too. While we normally see numbers around 40%, Tom Cruise's latest pushes the Blu-ray share up to 67%. Newly released documentaries 'Frozen Planet' and 'Born to be Wild' fare well too, at 49% and 47% respectively.
Of course, 'Mission: Impossible' tops the rental charts, but 'The Sitter' takes an unexpected #2 spot with 'The Descendants' and 'Hop' following up.
