'Adventures of Baron Munchausen' Heads to Blu-ray

Sony has announced it is bringing the Terry Gilliam cult fantasy flick 'The Adventures of Baron Munchausen' to Blu-ray this April.
Although it was a box office bust in the United States, 'Baron Munchausen' has since gone on to cultivate a die hard cult audience on video, and is now considered one of Gilliam's finest efforts. Sony will give the film its high-def debut on April 8 in a Blu-ray edition filled with bonus features and exclusive content.
Tech specs haven't been announced yet, but extras on the Blu-ray are set to include audio commentary with Gilliam and screenwriter Charles McKeown, two featurettes ("The Madness and Misadventures of Munchausen," "As We once Dreamed It: Afterthoughts by Terry Gilliam & Charles McKeown"), deleted scenes, and a pair of storyboard sequences.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be a "Graphics & Picture Track." We're still waiting on confirmation from Sony as to whether this is a pop-up trivia track, or perhaps a full Profile 1.1-enabled picture-in-picture commentary track. Stay tuned.
Suggested retail for the Blu-ray is $28.98.
