Bad Hair

Bad Hair (Pelo Malo) Nine-year-old Junior lives in the chaotic city of Caracas with his haggard, out-of-work single mother and baby brother. Fixated on his appearance, Junior is convinced that his mother would love him more if he was able to tame the stubbornly curly hair – or “bad hair” – he inherited from his absent father. But as he grows increasingly obsessed with his hair, his mother, in turn, finds him too difficult to handle – and a showdown looms. “Bad Hair” is an official selection of the prestigious, award-winning Global Lens Collection presented by the Global Film Initiative.
